About Us and Our Lovely Australian Labradoodles
John and I live near Purdue University in Indiana with our family. We moved here from our acreage in Nebraska just a couple of years ago, so that John could accept a teaching assistantship and pursue his PhD in Philosophy at Purdue.
Together, we have two little girls; Grace who is five and Genevieve (Evie) who is one. I have three older kids from my first marriage; Darian is 16, Caden is 13 and Bailey is 12.

My name is Stacy Houston and I am caretaker of kids and animals. When John and I moved to Indiana, I opened a home childcare and currently have an average of 10 sweet-as-pie little kids here every day. I grew up on a farm in Nebraska and have had a lifelong love of all kinds of animals. As pets, I have had a horse, a cow that thought she was a dog, runt pigs, a chicken that liked to sit on my lap, goats, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc. Brandy was my special dog who followed me everywhere and saved my life at least once. My cow "Stinky" lived for 18 years and had 17 calves - two sets of twins. |

I graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems. I worked in the printing industry for a small company which, as anyone who works for a small company knows, required me to be a "jill-of-all-trades". Mostly, though, I was working with clients and co-workers to get things done along with estimating, purchasing, proofreading and graphics.
I am enamored with my Australian Labradoodles. They bring me joy and serenity, and good therapy at the end of the day. Each has his or her own distinct personality but, in common, they have sweet, sensitive, gentle natures and they are smart and great with kids. As a major bonus to my germaphobic inclinations, they don't shed at all. I breed them to promote this lovely breed in an ethical and responsible way and because I enjoy the puppies, the miracle of their birth and the chance to connect with other labradoodle lovers around the world. We are a special breed too.

This is my husband, John. He also grew up on a farm in Nebraska as the son of a minister. John was my little brother's best friend in high school, but, as I am just a smidge older than him, I didn't really notice him back then. Imagine my surprise when this muscle-bound, Harley-riding, amateur boxer rode into town after graduating from Binghamton University in NY and talked to me about Aristotle and Plato and quoted Dostoyevsky and poetry. I had thought I wouldn't get married again in a million years, but, luckily, things don't always go according to plan. |

John has also lived in a monastery, completed an intensive course in Ancient Greek at the University of Chicago, and studied classics at Campion College, a tiny Jesuit school in San Francisco. He currently teaches Ethics and Intro to Philosophy at Purdue and has started work on his dissertation.
John is an excellent teacher and father and a down-to-earth, gem of a man who loves people and great conversation and always has something interesting to talk about. We do a lot of entertaining and really enjoy having our friends and family around. They keep coming back, so I think they enjoy our company too. Or maybe they just love to pet our dogs and hold the puppies.
Evie "The Cranium" and Sophie
Dogs were the first thing Evie recognized in books. She says "oof" everytime she sees a dog.
Bailey with Tahlia's Puppy
The kids love the puppies and are an excellent helpers.

Okay, so there is no dog in the photo. It's just such a sweet picture though.About Us
